Austbrokers Comsure has hired Sydney-based Peter Wood and Tom Koksal in an expansion of its motor dealership expertise.

“Motor dealers are a strategic priority for our business and we will continue to invest heavily in the sector to ensure we have the best team to assist our motor dealership clients with their insurance and risk management needs,” MD Ian Garbutt said.

Mr Wood takes on the role of Principal Dealer Risk Analyst while Mr Koksal has been appointed Senior Dealership Broker.

Mr Wood has worked in the motor dealer and motor trades arena for more than 40 years and at the Motor Trades Association of NSW managed the broker division for 5000 members. Previously he worked for Allianz and QBE, developing and managing frameworks for dealers nationally.

Mr Koksal has more than 30 years’ experience in the motor dealership insurance market including a decade with QBE as a product specialist.

Austbrokers Comsure was created last year by combining southeast Queensland brokerages Comsure, Bestmark and Citycover.
