Asian Claims Convention makes progress on program

Early bird and multiple-attendee discounts are available for this year’s Asian Claims Convention in Japan.

The event is scheduled for May 13-15 at the Hilton in Osaka, and the theme is traditional claims management in a digital age.

Organiser the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters expects hundreds of delegates to attend, including insurance company managers, brokers, reinsurers, loss adjusters, consultants, lawyers and service providers.

“A high-quality program is being developed for what we expect to be the most popular ACC in the history of the event,” AICLA said. “The convention offers a unique opportunity to meet and network with other claims professionals from over 14 countries.”

The program includes a panel discussing the pros and cons of digital claims, moderated by Charles Taylor Adjusting Australia’s Glyn Lloyd. He will also interview McLarens’ Natalie Xu on challenges and opportunities as a female adjuster.

Other presentations from Australia include Charles Taylor Adjusting’s Mark Thompson on pandemics; Halliwell Australia’s Peter Jeffrey on forensic investigations; and YDR Australia’s Ian McWalter on soft skills in claims.

World Bank senior financial sector specialist Sumati Rajput will speak on disaster risk finance and insurance.

Early bird tickets end on April 18. Find registration details here.
