ARPC to hold terrorism insurance seminar

The Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation will host a free seminar to help insurance professionals better understand terrorism and extremism risk and the terror pool.

The half-day seminar will be held at the NSW parliament’s Strangers’ Room in Macquarie Street, Sydney, from 9am on November 20.

Experts will discuss the fundamentals of terrorism insurance, policy options and risk premiums.

“As administrator of the terrorism pool, our goal is to empower insurers with the knowledge and tools to better prepare for the unexpected and safeguard their assets,” ARPC CEO Chris Wallace said.

The program includes presentations from the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Victoria Police’s Inspector Paul Henry and Institute for Economics & Peace research director David Hammond.
