ARPC names new underwriting chief
Cameron Hick has been appointed head of technical underwriting at the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation.
The corporation administers the federal government-backed cyclone reinsurance pool.
Sydney-based Mr Hick previously spent 20 years at Munich Re, including in Germany. He was most recently Aon senior treaty broker and has worked as Gallagher Re’s head of broking and Willis Re’s head of client. He also worked at Partner Re in Switzerland.
“He brings significant underwriting, client and portfolio management experience across multiple geographies in the reinsurance space,” the ARPC said. “We are excited to have Cameron on board.”
Last month, the corporation appointed Karin Rathbone chief risk officer. She previously held a similar role at fund manager Colonial First State.
