APIG to vote on rule changes
The Australian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG) will hold a special general meeting on February 23 to seek approval for amendments to its rules of association.
National Secretary Penny Taylor says the changes are necessary for compliance with the Association Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic).
They will also allow improved procedures, and are aligned with APIG’s objectives.
Amendments include clarifications of APIG’s purpose, its disciplinary and grievance process and the function of the secretary and subcommittees.
“The national committee of APIG considers the amendments to the rules are in the best interests of all members,” Ms Taylor said.
The special resolution will require at least 75% of votes in favour, cast in person or by proxy.
The meeting is at the Kennedys office in Castlereagh Street, Sydney, at 4.30pm.
