A young insurance professional will visit London next year under a new scholarship from the Australian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG) and law firm Wotton + Kearney.

The winning APIG member will attend the three-day Professional Indemnity Forum Conference in July next year.

They will also visit the Lloyd’s market and receive $4000 towards airfares and transfers and $3500 for accommodation and spending.

The scholarship – open to members under the age of 36 – aims to support career development in professional indemnity and financial lines insurance, APIG says.

Submissions open today on the APIG website. Candidates must write up to 600 words outlining their background in financial lines insurance and their views on the industry.

The winner will be announced on December 11.
