APIG conference to examine greenwashing, AI and cyber
The Australian Professional Indemnity Group’s national conference next month will explore topics including artificial intelligence, the cyber market and regulators’ focus on greenwashing.
Pip Marlow, who has more than 30 years’ experience as a CEO and executive in the technology and financial services industries, will deliver a keynote address on embracing ethical AI.
The preliminary program also includes Australian Securities and Investments Commission senior executive leader Marita Hogan, who is scheduled to speak on environmental, social and governance issues and greenwashing deterrence work.
Other speakers will cover topics such as insurance industry opportunities, working with regulators in challenging cases, the future in cyber, navigating the soft market and the evolving world of employment.
Allan Sparkes, a former police officer and Cross of Valour recipient, will give a speech titled Endurance: Staying In The Game, which will explore managing stress and psychological and physical wellbeing.
The conference and gala dinner will be held at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney on September 19.
