Aon volunteers help children’s refuge
Aon has joined forces with Southern Cross Community Housing to provide a “complete makeover” at a women and children’s refuge in Nowra, NSW.
Southern Cross Community Housing donated play equipment and co-ordinated 42 Aon volunteers from across Australia as they painted, created vegetable gardens, built a barbecue area, installed a safe playground and repaired a children’s cubbyhouse at the venue run by Supported Accommodation & Homelessness Services Shoalhaven Illawarra.
Aon supplied the volunteers under its annual three-day staff workshop, which includes a community project.
The volunteers also donated several boxes of kitchen equipment for the accommodation group to distribute.
