Aon will advise Townsville businesses about risk management and other insurance issues after forming a partnership with the city’s chamber of commerce.

Aon Risk Solutions Regional Branch Manager David Reid says rate increases for commercial business seem to be flattening, but business-owners who have absorbed the steep rises of recent years are keen to hear how they can mitigate loss.

He says business-owners know premiums will not fall to levels seen before Cyclone Yasi in 2011. They want advice on risk management and also business continuity, so they can reopen quickly after an event.

“Knowledge sharing by way of the chamber’s resources, functions and events helps businesses across the community to achieve their goals,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
