Aon hosts first marine risk forum
Aon’s first Maritime Risk Summit in Australia will be held in Perth this week and look at building resilience in a volatile and unpredictable environment.
National Marine Practice Group Leader Lindsay Metcalf says the event will examine how to address resilience as traditional risks collide with new technology.
“The maritime industry is no exception to the fast-paced transformation of the risk landscape,” he says.
“This forum will bring together the latest thinking and innovation in risk and how it applies to the maritime industry.”
Topics will include use of drones in the maritime and energy sectors, blockchain, protection and indemnity loss prevention, charterers’ liability, cyber, and seafarers’ legislation, regulatory reform and compliance.
The summit is at the Vines Resort in Perth on Wednesday and Thursday.
