Applications for this year’s Aon Benfield and Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) scholarship are now open.

The program recognises an outstanding professional in the Australian and New Zealand insurance industry. The winner will travel to London for the 50th Aon Benfield Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar, from June 22 to July 2.

Applicants must write a 2500-word essay on how social media and online technology is changing the insurance landscape.

Aon Benfield Australia and New Zealand CEO Robert De Souza says the London seminar will cover the principles and practices of arranging reinsurance on a global scale.

“This scholarship allows insurance and reinsurance professionals to explore and discuss highly relevant issues to our industry, with the opportunity to travel and learn about reinsurance globally,” he said.

The scholarship is open to Australian and New Zealand permanent residents with at least two years’ experience in insurance or reinsurance.
