Applications for the Aon Benfield Scholarship, recognising outstanding insurance professionals in Australia and New Zealand, are now open.

The winner will travel to London for the 51st Aon Benfield Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar from June 20-30, where they can develop advanced skills and learn about the global reinsurance market.

Applicants must write a 2500-word essay on Big Data and the insurance industry.

The scholarship – awarded by Aon Benfield and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance – is open to professionals with a minimum of two years’ work experience in insurance or reinsurance.

“We anticipate the submissions for this year will inspire excellent discussion and debate,” institute CEO and award judge Prue Willsford said.
