Aon Australia staff lend a hand to charities
Aon Australia executives led the way at last week’s Global Service Day initiative, which is part of the group’s corporate social responsibility drive to help charities.
Aon Risk Solutions CEO Lambros Lambrou spent a day volunteering with Camp Quality, a non-profit body in Sydney dedicated to improving the lives of cancer-stricken children.
Aon Hewitt CEO Steve Gaffney helped out at Melbourne’s Avalon Centre, which reaches out to the homeless, people with mental health problems and disabilities, the elderly and refugees.
Aon Benfield CEO and President Asia-Pacific Robert De Souza lent a hand at a Create Foundation project helping children who have been in and out of home care.
Aon says more than 500 employees from its Australian offices took part in Global Service Day, helping out at 116 community groups and charities.
Aon staff in some 40 countries took part in more than 400 activities last week under the annual initiative.
