ANZIIF qualifications get tick from NZ

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) can now accredit its general, life, broking and financial planning qualifications towards the New Zealand Financial Services Level 5 certification.

Thousands of students who have undertaken ANZIIF qualifications over the past few years can now receive direct credit for their studies.

Accreditations include Certificate IV in General Insurance, Diploma of Insurance Broking, Diploma of Life Insurance and Diploma of Financial Planning, which all include Standard Sets A and E.

Those who have completed these units of study and new enrolments will need to undergo a bridging program to allow them to sit assessments in Standard Sets B and C this month

ANZIIF GM Education and Knowledge Management Clim Pacheco says this is a great outcome for the NZ market and ANZIIF students.

“As the first international education provider for level 5 qualification in NZ, our courses will enable students to obtain both NZ Qualifications Authority (NZQA) certification and an internationally recognised qualification at the same time,” he said.

ANZIIF is also now in the process of applying to the NZQA for credits for the Financial Services level 4 qualification.
