The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has opened submissions for this year’s Australian Insurance Industry awards.

This year’s event will mark the 19th edition of the “insurance industry’s night of nights” on August 24 at The Star Sydney.

Submissions for 17 categories will be open until May 5, with finalists for the awards to be announced in July. A judging panel of figures from across the industry will select the winners.

Last year’s awards saw Suncorp named Large General Insurance Company of the Year, while Marsh was named Large Broking Company of the Year. Former IAG executive Jacki Johnson was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.

ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford welcomed members to “apply and participate in this wonderful celebration of our industry”.
