The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance has opened nominations for its annual insurance industry awards.

The 15 categories include small, medium and large broker of the year and small/medium and large general insurer.

There are also awards for law firm, life insurer, claims service producer, underwriting agency and innovation of the year.

Unlike last year, there will be no award for reinsurer of the year.

Nominations close on April 14.
