The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has announced Allianz Australia Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion Edyta Torpy as the first panellist for its upcoming diversity and inclusion seminar. 

ANZIIF says the event will bring together industry leaders and diversity advocates to discuss the importance of creating an inclusive workplace and share important insights from various viewpoints. 

Ms Torpy, who has headed diversity and inclusion roles at several companies across the financial sector, says there is still a long way to go for the industry to achieve parity for disadvantaged and underrepresented groups. 

"The ANZIIF Diversity and Inclusion Seminar is a great opportunity to bring together people who are focused on creating cultures of inclusion and belonging and are committed to making a difference for our people and our customers," Ms Torpy said. 

Future panellists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.  

The seminar is set to take place on June 29 at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park hotel and will be available online.
