The winners of this year’s Bright Light Award for claims innovation are NTI’s Chris Levitt, Louise Scott and Bipin Shangari.

The award, organised by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and TurksLegal, gives individuals and teams the chance to showcase an idea or view on general insurance claims.

The NTI trio emerged victorious for their “Phoenix Group Phone App” idea – a phone claims app and process to provide “next level” customer claims support and connectivity.

The idea will be further developed with the assistance of TurksLegal and ANZIIF, and each of the winners receives $5000 cash and up to $1500 to spend on coaching and professional development.

“Innovation is driven by people, and the winning team at NTI have done a brilliant job in creating an innovative idea that will improve the customer journey throughout the claims process,” ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford said.
