Entries have opened for the annual Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

Details are on the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance’s (ANZIIF) website, with submissions due by April 26.

The awards, now in their 10th year, will be presented on August 14.

Categories include small, medium and large broker of the year; small/medium and large general insurer; insurance leader; law firm or practitioner; and life insurance company.

There are also prizes for claims service provider, underwriting agency, service provider to the insurance industry, reinsurer and innovation of the year.

Companies and individuals can enter all categories except the ANZIIF fellow lifetime achievement award, in which institute fellows make nominations.

Each category is adjudicated by a panel of industry figures and audited by Ernst & Young.
