Two new categories – insurtech program of the year and authorised representative group of the year – have been added to the Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance will host this year’s awards ceremony on August 30 at Luna Park in Sydney.

The 19 categories are:

• Direct general insurance company
• Small-medium general insurance company
• Large general insurance company
• Life insurance company
• Innovation
• Insurtech program
• Professional services firm
• Service provider to the insurance industry
• Women’s employer
• Insurance learning program
• Young insurance professionals’ employer
• Young insurance professional
• Insurance leader
• Lifetime achievement.

Nominations are now open, and the closing date for submissions is May 7.
