ANZIIF crowns claims award winner
The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has awarded this year’s Making a Difference Award for claims to Christchurch-based Sedgwick Branch Manager Ben Marsh.
The award celebrates his dedication and “relentless effort supporting the customer” after record flooding and devastation from Cyclone Gabrielle earlier this year, ANZIIF says.
"It's humbling to be recognised for the hard work that both my team and I put into supporting the response," Mr Marsh said.
“My approach embodies Sedgwick’s caring counts ethos, which means customers we support on behalf of our clients have a less stressful claims process during a particularly difficult time."
ANZIIF says he and the Sedgwick team “rose to the challenge”.
"We're thrilled to honour exceptional individuals like Ben Marsh, who have shown unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in the face of adversity.”
The Making a Difference awards recognise insurance professionals who have demonstrated outstanding professionalism, commitment, achievement and passion. Winners receive a prize valued at $500, a feature profile on the ANZIIF website and a digital badge verifying their award.
ANZIIF earlier announced Swiss Re Claims Service Manager Lucy Hartley was awarded in the life insurance category and Sydney-based CHU Underwriting Agencies National Specialty Risk Team Manager Claire Burke won the 2023 Making a Difference Award for underwriting.
The Making a Difference Reinsurance, General Insurance and Broking category winners will be crowned at the ANZIIF General Insurance Breakfast on December 6.
