The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) is accepting entries for its New Zealand Industry Awards from today.

The awards will be presented on October 24 at Auckland’s Skycity Convention Centre.

The 11 award categories include small/medium broking company; large broking company; general insurance company; direct insurance company; life insurance company; underwriting agency; law firm; claims service provider; service provider to the insurance industry; and innovation of the year.

ANZIIF will also present a lifetime achievement award.

With the exception of the lifetime award, companies, teams and individuals can be nominated by a third party or enter themselves.

The Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ) last month cancelled its awards ceremony after ANZIIF announced it would run its own awards event two weeks before it.

Last year ANZIIF and IBANZ held a joint awards night, replacing the event that was run by IBANZ for several years.
