Tan Kian Beng has been appointed Malaysian ambassador by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, under a commitment to advancing professionalism in the industry across the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr Tan, who is Generali Malaysia regional manager, will act as ANZIIF’s official representative, working with insurance workers and organisations throughout Malaysia.

“I aim to raise awareness of ANZIIF’s valuable resources and opportunities, helping our professionals achieve global standards and strengthen Malaysia’s presence in the regional insurance landscape,” he said.

ANZIIF CEO Katrina Shanks says appointing a Malaysian ambassador “reflects our commitment and passion to the region”.

“I am excited to be working closer with Kian Beng and strengthening our relationship with Malaysia,” she said.
