ANZIIF and Thai institute strengthen ties

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and the Thai Insurance Institute (TII) have struck a deal to expand their collaboration.

The agreement, signed in Melbourne last week by TII’s Tadthep Sujitjorn and ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford, will see ANZIIF deliver more education options to Thai insurers.

The two institutes have been in partnership for seven years.

Under the new agreement, teaching staff and assessors must hold ANZIIF-equivalent or higher insurance qualifications and have industry experience.

Teachers and assessors are also expected to retain ANZIIF membership, to ensure ongoing professional development.

The partnership will also provide more rigorous assessment and faster results through ANZIIF assessment platforms.

Education and training, delivered in Thai and English, will be tailored to local contexts.

“Knowledge, skills and professionalism underpin the success of our industry,” Mr Sujitjorn said.

“This is why the TII is passionate about the education and professional development of those working in Thai insurance.”

Ms Willsford says it is “crucial” Thailand’s rapidly expanding insurance market has well-trained, knowledgeable and skilled staff.

ANZIIF works across Asia and has members in 50 countries worldwide.
