Ansvar opens youth charity grants program
Organisations that support Australian youth can now apply for next year’s Ansvar Insurance Community Education Program grants.
Since the program began in 1994 Ansvar has contributed more than $10 million to education and life skills schemes, reaching thousands of young people.
This year’s grant recipients include Australian Refugee Volunteers, Down Syndrome Victoria, Top Blokes Foundation, the Reach Foundation and Courage to Care.
To be eligible, organisations must serve Australians aged under 25 and be sustainable beyond receiving a grant. The program must fit into one of two categories: empowerment and education; and outreach and support.
Ansvar CEO Warren Hutcheon says each year the faith and heritage specialist insurer is amazed by the calibre of applications.
“As funding becomes more and more difficult for these deserving programs, it is especially gratifying for everyone at Ansvar to contribute in making a difference to the lives of so many young Australians,” he said.
“We look forward to receiving the applications and helping these programs enrich the lives of the young people they support.”
Applications close at 5pm on October 14. For information, click here.
