Ansvar Insurance Australia has appointed Peter Bailey as Chief Underwriting Officer.

Sydney-based Mr Bailey left AIG Australia last month after 10 years, mostly spent as head of portfolio solutions.

“I am delighted to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Underwriting Officer at Ansvar,” he said on LinkedIn.

Mr Bailey previously served as Dual Australia’s MD for three years and spent 1996 to 2005 at QBE in Sydney and London. He was also Calliden Insurance’s underwriting director for five years and FAI Professional Liability’s division manager in the 1990s.
