Ansvar invites grant applications
Applications are open for this year’s round of Ansvar Insurance Community Education Program (CEP) grants, provided to organisations supporting Australian youth.
The community and heritage insurance specialist has contributed more than $10 million to education and life skills programs since launching the program in 1994.
CEO Warren Hutcheon says government cuts continue to affect community and non-profit groups, placing greater importance on support from business and the wider community.
“This year we’re asking for an even greater range of organisations to apply for a CEP grant, to allow us to select from as many worthwhile recipients as possible,” he said.
The grants are made under two categories: empowerment and education; and outreach and support.
Applications close on Friday September 5. Groups will receive a response in December and funds will be allocated in January.
Past recipients include Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia, the Shepherd Centre, 20th Man Fund and Vision Australia.
