Ansvar Insurance Australia has appointed Rob Funnell to the role of State Manager Victoria and Tasmania.

Melbourne-based Mr Funnell was most recently Chief Client Officer at Achmea, and formerly spent seven years at Allianz, five at Wesfarmers, and a decade at Vero. He has three decades of experience in general insurance, reinsurance, leadership and risk management.

Ansvar says Mr Funnell has deep knowledge and understanding of multi class, short and long tail products, and strong relationships with private and international brokerages.

“Rob has a true depth of experience in the industry and we know he will make a real difference,” GM Client Solutions Ian Ireland said.
