ALUCA appoints O’Leary as its first EO
The Australian Life Underwriters and Claims Association (ALUCA) has appointed Tony O’Leary as its first Executive Officer.
Mr O’Leary, who has 40 years’ experience in the industry, moved to Australia from the UK 11 years ago after a long career with then-GE subsidiary Employers Re.
He established G&T Risk Management and will continue to operate the consultancy.
ALUCA’s membership has trebled in the past 12 years to nearly 1500. Mr O’Leary told insuranceNEWS.com.au one of the profession’s key issues is attracting people to fill the demand for underwriters and claims assessors.
