AlphaXO walks for Black Dog Institute
Staff from specialist marine insurance broker AlphaXO Risk Partners walked a combined 1878km last month, raising more than $20,000 for the Black Dog Institute to support the one in five Australians who suffer mental illness.
AlphaXO MD Andrew Glover says he is delighted with the level of staff participation and thanked everyone who sponsored them.
“It was a team effort and every kilometre covered helped us to achieve our goal, raising money on the way,” he said. “We smashed our original target of walking the equivalent of 913km to Brisbane, and achieved the lockdown-busting, final destination.”
Individuals covered over 150km in the month and others raised above $1000.
Established in Australia in 2007, AlphaXO is part of the Howden Insurance Group, and advises on all nature of maritime risks ranging from Hull and Machinery and Protection and Indemnity, to cargo, marine liabilities, shipbuilding and repairing and all associated risks, including cyber, war and kidnap & ransom.
