Allianz wins ANZIIF’s large insurer of the year award
Allianz Australia has been named large general insurance company of the year at the Australian Insurance Industry Awards last week.
SA insurer RAA Insurance won the small/medium general insurance company category at the ceremony, hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) in Sydney.
Aon was named large broker of the year, taking the crown from Marsh, which won the category in the previous four years.
LMI Group MD and insurance tax abolition campaigner Allan Manning won the ANZIIF lifetime achievement award, which recognises an individual’s contributions towards advancing industry standards.
Dr Manning features as the cover story in the latest issue of Insurance News (the magazine), which is being mailed out to subscribers this week.
Suncorp Group CEO Patrick Snowball was named insurance leader of the year.
Finity won the inaugural Hall of Fame award, which recognises an individual or organisation that has won a category five times and has consistently provided leadership.
