IAG liability claims specialist Luke Cronan has received the inaugural Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA) Queensland rising star award.

Entrants had to write about the biggest opportunity for insurers.

Mr Cronan identified increasing demand for cyber insurance, arguing it is critical for businesses to protect their interests and reputations from cyber risks.

He has received a trophy, free registration to the AILA Queensland Law Intensive event, a year’s AILA membership and a $500 bursary.

Peter Murdoch, a partner at awards sponsor Barry.Nilsson Lawyers, says the scheme recognises and supports “young achievers who will be the industry’s future decision-makers”.
