AICLA to hold Claims Convention on September 28
The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters says this year’s Claims Convention will be held on September 28 at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, a new and larger venue after 340 attended last year.
AICLA’s planning committee is developing the 2023 program, and says the increased space at the new venue will allow for more sponsor exhibitors.
On May 10-12, the Asian Claims Convention (ACC23) will take place at the JW Marriot Bangkok, with the theme “Claims in a Post-Pandemic World”. Speakers from throughout Australia, Asia and the UK will present on a diverse range of topics.
“This will be the first ACC since Cambodia in 2019, and we are expecting a record number of attendees,” AICLA said. "The exciting program will examine the challenges facing those in insurance claims and look at the best practices across the industry.”
The convention will feature a panel discussion showcasing three prominent loss adjusters – Tony Morgan, Chan Hwee Seng and Maria Widiasusanty – and their experiences in the profession, with the discussion moderated by AICLA President Glyn Lloyd.
Topics to be discussed include marine issues, climate change impacts, environmental disasters, the art of remote forensic inspection, construction claims, emerging legal trends, renewable energy claims, and “metaverse, nfts & blockchain”.
The event includes a cocktail function, two-day convention and gala dinner.
Multi-member and early-bird discount rates are available until April 1. Senior insurance company managers, brokers, re-insurers, loss adjusters, professional consultants, insurance lawyers, suppliers and service providers are invited to register here.
