AICLA elects new president
The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) elected Leon Briggs as President at its annual general meeting.
Mr Briggs, who is the National Chief Adjuster at Cunningham Lindsey in Auckland, takes the helm from Michael Collins, who stepped down at the October 20 meeting in Adelaide after a two-year term.
“It is a privilege to be elected as President of AICLA and to follow on from a long history of talented and conscientious leaders,” Mr Briggs says in the group’s newsletter.
He says education is changing and AICLA needs to ensure systems are suitable for educating and testing participants before they are accepted as chartered loss adjusters.
“Maintaining and, where possible, developing the strength of our education will be a significant issue over the next two years.”
Jakarta-based McLarens adjuster Budi Maharesi was appointed Deputy President.
