AICLA appoints CEO

The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) has promoted Administration Officer Tony Libke to the new role of CEO.

Mr Libke told insuranceNEWS.com.au that rather than representing a major change, the new title “more accurately reflects my responsibilities”.

Meanwhile, AICLA is putting the finishing touches to the program for Claims Convention 2012 in Sydney on August 2-3.

The theme will be “Claiming Gold in Turbulent Times”, to tie in with the London Olympic Games.

Suncorp CEO Commercial Insurance Anthony Day, Natural Disaster Insurance Review Chairman John Trowbridge, Swiss Re MD and Head of Claims and Liabilities – Asia Peter Newall, and QBE Complex Claims Manager David Kneipp will be among the speakers.

Mr Libke says the institute plans to hold its 2013 Asian Claims Convention in Bangkok in April, following the success of its inaugural Shanghai convention in April.

AICLA also plans to re-establish the Institute of Claims Technicians in response to increased demand for the service from Asia.
