Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Derek Martin to replace Joerg Ahrens as Regional Manager Claims for the Pacific region, effective from June 1.

Mr Ahrens recently returned to Munich as Global Head of Key Case Management.

Mr Martin was most recently at Zurich, where he was chief claims officer, global corporate Asia-Pacific.

AGCS Pacific CEO Holger Schaefer says Mr Martin comes “highly recommended” and has an excellent reputation in the Asia-Pacific claims community.

“He is a very engaging and technically astute claims professional, and we are very excited about him joining our team,” Mr Schaefer said.
