AFCA announces new board member
The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) has appointed Swati Dave to its board as a non-executive director.
Ms Dave will join the board for three years, bringing more than 30 years of banking and broader financial services experience to the ombudsman. She has previously held senior roles at NAB, Deutsche Bank, Westpac, and other financial services groups.
AFCA Independent Chair Professor John Pollaers says Ms Dave brings a “deep commitment to excellence, innovation and social impact” to its dispute resolution scheme.
“Ms Dave’s diverse experience as an executive and board director will be invaluable as AFCA works to provide clear member and community value,” Professor Pollaers said.
Ms Dave will replace the outgoing Jennifer Darbyshire, who was a founding member of AFCA’s board in 2018.
