Brisbane-based Hunter Broking Group MD Josh Ryan has been crowned the 2021 Top Australian Insurance Broker by website Advisr.

Hunter Broking also won Top Brokerage employing under 20, while Austbrokers SPT was named Top Brokerage and Ausure and Insurance Advisernet tied for the title of Top Authorised Representative Network.

The awards recognise “pioneers in engaging online” and the sharing of expertise through articles, social posts, videos, podcasts, and speaking at events, as well as online profiles and online reviews and testimonials.

Mr Ryan tied with SUREWiSE Account Executive Tiffany Austin-Sanchez for the People’s Choice award while McLardy McShane South East Director Shane Brady won for Top Authorised Representative, National Insurance Brokers’ Abbie Wilson won Top Specialist Broker and Crucial Insurance and Risk Advisors MD Tony Venning was named Top Thought Leader.

There were six Top Insurance Broker winners by state or territory.

In NSW, Arma Insurance Brokers Hunter Valley MD Amanda Morris took the win, while Clear Insurance Advisor Lisa Carter received top prize in Queensland.

Grace Insurance Director Frans Du Plessis was winner in WA while MeyerInsure Founder and Director Laura Meyer won in in Victoria/Tasmania.

In SA/ NT, Bfrank Insure broker Frank Iadarola won. In ACT, Allinsure Founder and MD Peter Chamberlain took state honours.
