Victorian broker Adroit Insurance Group has teamed up with the Cotton On Foundation to raise more than $167,000 for the children’s ward at Ballarat Base Hospital in regional Victoria.

An inaugural fun run/walk managed by the two organisations drew 4266 participants. Adroit MD Andrew Locke says it was so successful they are committed to repeating it next year.

The event provided three options to cater for all fitness levels: a 6km walk, a 6km run or an 11km run. The money raised will be used to revamp outdated children’s facilities at the hospital.

Mr Locke says Adroit is committed to helping communities in which it operates. Its annual charity golf day in Geelong has raised more than $500,000.
