Actuaries to host Gold Coast conference
The Actuaries Institute will hold its annual summit from May 1-3 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The agenda will include home insurance affordability, the impact hereditary disease is having on life insurance and superannuation, and the transformative effects of artificial intelligence and data science on business. Building better homes to withstand natural disasters – and making insurance more affordable – will be discussed on May 3.
Speakers include Insurance Council of Australia CEO Andrew Hall, actuary of the year Sharanjit Paddam from Finity, Planning Institute of Australia CEO Matt Collins, Queensland Reconstruction Authority leader Major-General Jake Ellwood, and Bank Australia’s Head of Impact Management Jane Kern.
Australian Prudential Regulation Authority life insurance head Suzanne Smith, TAL CEO and MD Brett Clark, and QInsure CEO Phil Fraser will also speak.
