Actuaries Institute hosts Sydney public policy forum
The Actuaries Institute is to hold a public policy forum for its members to discuss issues such as the Financial System Inquiry (FSI) and the profession’s reputation.
Key speaker Tony Cole will discuss the value of stakeholder engagement in the FSI.
Mr Cole is a partner at Mercer and a member of the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation board and the National Commission of Audit.
Economist Rodney Maddock will also talk about engagement in public policy, while CMC Insurance Solutions GM Health Analytics Development Sophie Dyson will discuss “health – the next Everest”.
The institute’s Senior VP Estelle Pearson will talk about enhancing actuaries’ reputation, and Rice Warner CEO Michael Rice will outline emerging developments in retirement incomes.
