Actuaries have new president

The Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAA) has appointed Bozenna Hinton as its new president.

Ms Hinton replaces Trevor Thompson. She has nearly 20 years’ actuarial experience across the wealth management, life insurance and energy sectors.

IAA’s new CEO, Melinda Howes, begins work next week. She replaces John Maroney, who left the institute in August to join the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, as a member of the secretariat of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.
