Ace has appointed Steve Ord as Victorian State Manager, starting next week.

He will be responsible for the group’s second-largest Australian branch operation, with a team of 38 employees.

Mr Ord previously served as senior VP and accident and health manager for Chubb Insurance, based in London. “He was responsible for implementing the accident and health growth strategy and driving profitable growth in a market hit by recession,” Ace says.

He has also worked for Chubb in Melbourne, and from 2001-10 ran its Australian accident and health and personal lines portfolios.
