AA Insurance Sales Specialist Team Leader Caleb Walker has won an annual scholarship from the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

He will use the $NZ10,000 ($9540) award to attend an international insurance conference.

Scholarship organisers say Mr Walker provided fresh insights in an essay that asked whether insurers are doing enough to manage the industry’s reputation.

“[His] submission stood out as being particularly well thought out and his recommendations to the New Zealand industry were positive and practical ideas the industry can adopt today,” ICNZ CEO and panel judge Tim Grafton said.
