Steadfast is claiming an industry attendance record for its annual convention being held this week in Melbourne, with 2500 people signed on to attend.

The number eclipses Steadfast’s previous record at last year’s Perth convention, when more than 1600 people registered.

Convention Chairman Greg Stewart says 2251 industry people had registered by Saturday to attend the convention being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, but the number rose over the weekend.

“People apparently heard about it and decided they had to come and be part of it,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “We have a massive exhibition going here, so there are obviously a lot of benefits in registering as a day delegate.”

The convention began on Saturday and will end tomorrow night.
