WTW says Neuron platform to provide speed, efficiencies
WTW has released a “many-to-many” digital platform to help underwriters and brokers connect and trade more easily while improving the speed and cost of business.
The launch of the Neuron platform was held at the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) annual conference in Atlanta.
“At its core Neuron is a simple solution, a data pathway that can digitally connect any broker with any underwriter, getting them into the market quickly and cost effectively,” WTW Global Leader of Neuron Lousise Smith said. “Underneath it’s an incredibly sophisticated digital platform.”
WTW says the many-to-many “universal adapter” supports greater speed of information and quote transfer, together with high data quality, making it easier for market participants to generate more nuanced decisions faster and more cost effectively.
The platform includes the ability to distribute, use and augment data from a variety of sources and connects to existing systems using application programming interfaces (APIs), with the option of using a front-end Neuron interface.
Prototypes with a London market focus are expected to be followed by a wider roll-out. Firm commitments are yet to be made for an Australian release.
