Tysers Live to boost AUB entertainment business
AUB’s recently acquired UK-based Tysers business has launched a business unit dedicated to servicing the global entertainment industry.
Tysers Live will focus on the insurance needs of the sports, entertainment, film and television sectors, encompassing music, theatre, live events, media and film and advertising and commercials.
“This combines multiple teams at Tysers and strengthens our ability to support global clients in these industries,” AUB Group CEO Mike Emmett said this week. “We anticipate this change and this focus will accelerate the momentum we’re currently enjoying in entertainment and contingency.”
The division will be led by Paul Chapman, a senior industry practitioner with nearly 40 years’ experience including 10 at Tysers.
The senior management team will also include John Claffey, Brian Freeman and Tim Thornhill of Tysers, with the business saying recently that the full new leadership team would soon be announced.
Mr Emmett says Tysers Live will be a cutting-edge offering that will set the standard for brokers in the entertainment sector.
“It highlights the AUB Group’s commitment to strengthening our position as a premier broker through both organic growth and acquisition,” he said. “Paul’s impressive track record and strong relationships with the market make him the ideal choice to lead the build out of Tysers Live as a global practice.”
