The New Zealand Underwriting Agencies Council’s (NZUAC’s) inaugural one-day broker expo will be held in Auckland on October 25. 

NZUAC was established in February 2020 with the support of UAC Australia. The Auckland expo, to be held at the Grand Millennium Hotel, will showcase the “deep expertise and diverse skillset” of agencies and is free for insurance brokers. 

“We really want to encourage brokers to come to this inaugural event and engage with our members and their suppliers, and mix and mingle, have an enjoyable time and listen to some fantastic international keynote speakers,” NZUAC said. 

Lloyd’s Director Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa Iain Ferguson and Aon Reinsurance Solutions local CEO John Carroll will deliver keynote addresses on pricing pressures, risk appetites, the reinsurance outlook and capacity.  

A panel session will follow, featuring Dual New Zealand GM Paula Sheppard-Jones, Gallagher Insurance Head of Claims and EQ Response Myles Noble, UAC Australia CEO Jenny Bax and 360 Underwriting Solutions CEO New Zealand Chris Lynch.
