Queensland brokers head to Cairns for annual CQIB conference

The Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers (CQIB) held its annual convention in Cairns this month, attended by more than 230 industry professionals and 42 exhibitors.

CQIB flew in guest speakers to share with brokers key issues at the September 15-16 event. Topics covered include cyber, regulatory changes, disaster insurance, claims handling, mould in broken buildings and environmental challenges arising from catastrophe claims.

“At CQIB, fostering lasting connections and facilitating growth opportunities lies at the core of our mission,” President Danny Brandon said.

“We believe that this convention will serve as a catalyst for your personal and professional development, enabling you to stay at the forefront of our dynamic industry.”

The event wrapped up with a masquerade party gala dinner and CQIB raised $26,000 from attendees for charity Kindness Factory. The donation will support the charity’s kindness programs for schools.
