QBE unveils global cyber product
QBE has launched a global cyber insurance policy, QCyberProtect, offering comprehensive coverage for existing and new digital risks.
The insurer says the policy - which is available now in Australia - will cover network security, privacy liability, IT and non-IT business interruptions, and reputational loss.
The policy will target a range of customers, from mid-sized organisations to larger companies.
“QBE’s global cyber policy is supported by a network of highly skilled cyber experts and strategic partners to ensure world-class coverage and service,” QBE global cyber head Serene Davis said.
“We are providing our customers with the comprehensive coverage and services they need to navigate end-to-end cybersecurity issues.”
QBE says it will also incorporate its cyber platform, QCyberPrepare, into the product. The risk management tool enables clients to launch an incident response plan with their insurer to help ensure protection before, during and after a cyber-attack.
QBE Group CEO Andrew Horton says the product highlights the insurer’s ongoing strategic investments to improve its cyber capabilities and help “shield our clients from the most pressing cyber threats”.
“This offering highlights our commitment to delivering globally consistent and practical solutions that address the ever-evolving cyber risks our customers face around the world,” Mr Horton said.
